210 arrives, the 287 gets a mate
The 210 arrived today, from Texas, via Los Angeles and Sydney.
A friend for the daily wearer 287. The 210 is fitted with a Micah strap, now I know what butter on the wrist feels like. Yo Mik (mfer) the gold hands arrived yesterday. Now to find someone to fit them. Obligatory wrist shot. The 287 and the 210 together. Note the different lume, from the painted 287 dial to the 210 sandwuch dial. cheers richard |

Thanks guys for the comments.
I'm digging this Micah Vintager soft strap, now I know why owners rave about them. The gold hands will have to wait until I find someone on the island who can do the job. Figuring I'll have to buy a caseback removal tool. Like lots of places, the watchmaker is no longer. It's kids changing batteries in shops that sell quartz watches and cheap baubles. I will post pics as soon as it's done. The Radmatic 287 and Radman 210 are Radtastic (c)* * by mfer inc.,used without permission ;-) cheers richard |

Like your coined Radmatic monicker to the 287.
Great catch on the 210, a great contrast to the other mate!

Thanks fellow Radfans.
Mik, I ordered a caseback removal tool, it will arrive in a couple of weeks I hope. Loved your pic of the 4 watches without straps in a different thread, gives me another perspective on how sweet those hands will look. Sadly, watch repairers here don't even know Panerai as a brand. I think there is one place, who also doesn't know Panerais but seem to be interested. Figured I would buy the tool, have the job done, give them the tool as a thank you. Whilst I've been wearing the 210, the 287 was on my wrist yesterday and today, the familiar comfort and legible dial pleases me. cheers RichArD |

Congrats on the Pam210
You need to make sure you give the caseback tool to your watchmaker! |

I'll be sure to post pics of the gold hands when they're fitted. It should look just like miks ( mfer ) who provided the impetus to own a RAD base along with the 287. Now all I need is one of ABPs special straps. mfer knows the one, he owns it, one beautiful strap. cheers RichArD |

While the full moon has passed, it seems I'm affected, or afflicted or condemned!
I've put my hand up for a 141, needs a little TLC. Either this or the 190 were my grail RADs, maybe I can let go of my 287 now, that will be hard. Or maybe I should just let the JLC 8 Day Reverso out of my life. Can a man be happy with a couple of simple Radiomirs? I certainly hope so! |

I think either of those would be a great upgrade from the 287.

Thanks mik, I've always loved both of them, even before I bought my first PAM.
Funny thing is I always told myself that I should have both, but know that only one of them is possible. I do so enjoy the 287, but today the 210 is on my wrist. I'm trying to tear myself away from the 287 and realise that the 141 gives me the quality auto movement and all the nice things, without too much writing on the face. I can live with 42mm. Owning the JLC Reverso 8 Day helps ease the anguish of not owning a 190. Thanks for your support and sound advice. Yep, makes sense for the 287 to leave the fold. cheers RichArD |

The 210 received its gold hands today.
he watchmaker said he wasn't sure hw it would look, but I already knew with Miks (mfer) great shots his already modded 210. Now the 210 looks almost elegant. The lume is the same as the original. Apologies for the crap pic, but it does show the intoxicating gold hands off to their best effect. The 141 has arrived, it's a trimmer! My grail Radiomir, so happy. Only one year production, 42mm case, but thin, thin. Doesn't look too flash really, until you look at the rear of the case..... The totally decorated Zenith 680 Elite movement. This is decrated all the way to the base, just exquisite. This is the way Panerai used to do it, pure class. I'm really digging the early Dirk strap fitted to it currently, but it will be eplaced with a few others soon. Only keeping the 210 and the 141, the 287 has to find a new home. Yo Mik, thanks for all the encouragement and your assistance. Radiomirs; love 'em. |
