Newer Bracelet for the older 14060M? Anyone tried?

Can you buy the newer bracelet that comes in the SubC and other Rolex watches with the newer clasp and put it on an older 14060M models? Has anyone tried and have pics???

it wouldn't work. the fact that 93250 bracelet does not work on the 14060m case means that the subc bracelet won't fit. however, you could take the new sub c bracelet and fit it on a 16610. someone did that just not too long ago.

You CAN put the new glidelock clasp on a 14060M - just not the bracelet endlinks.

I understand the rationale behind such a desire, but I must say that to me, it just seems wrong.

Agree but the clasp alone will cost upward of a $1000.

i *think* the 14060M bracelet has less removeable links than the one on 116610, so it may not be as wearable for smaller wrist size

I'm the total opposite, I wouldn't mind the older style bracelet with solid end links and a tuna clasp on my Sub-C.

I have been told by a man who knows his Rolex watches that the solid end-link bracelets have a weak point at the point where the first link attaches to the end-link with a spring bar and that this is not the case with the hollow end-link.

This individual claims to have seen far more failures at this point with solid end-links than with bracelets with the hollow end-link.

I was quite surprised to hear this, as I, too, felt that the Sub should have gotten the same bracelet arrangement that my Explorer (114270) has.

It seems that progress can sometimes be a fickle thing.

none of the newer bracelets can be bolted on to the 14060

clasps, no probs

what i like about the 14060 is the lug holes, pretty cool.

the new Sub shines too much, much like my mum's fine Georg Jensen tableware

although not a straight fit the sels bracelets can be modified to fit the 14060m. forum member and mod. larry "tools" did this in a previous thread. i think it was last year.

Its not just the SEL mod because of the lug hole case different lug pins must be used.

always grateful for all your responses. i was just wondering about it since I wanted to trade in my 14060m for a subC. the only thing I like about the newer subC is the bracelet and the ceramic bezel. reasons that held me back was that the new subC is a bit thicker, a bit flashier, and those hour mark dots are huge! oh, and i do not like cyclops at all... hope the new ND subC looks and feels good.

I love the glidelock, but the older bracelets have stood the test of time and are quite comfy.

The glidelock bracelets are tough to come by, but the hunt is part of the fun. I sourced a used one here, a new one elsewhere--- and another new one by selling a new 116610 on just a NATO for a heck of a deal!!! SHHHHHHHH--- dont tell, or everyone will be doing it!!!! LOL~!!!!! My "parts" stack continues to grow!!!!
