16610 Aniversary Edition

Specifically, what date run is considered the 16610 "Aniversary" edition?
What separates the Aniversary edition from other V and LV models?
I am looking to add one to my collection of Subs.

The 16610LV was introduced first in 2003 discontinued in 2010,the 16610LV Anniversary sub is just a normal 16610 sub. There are no markings on the case other than the normal 16610T thats on all date subs from 2003 on.The anniversary models have what they call the maxi dial, the hour markers a slightly bigger and hands are sightly broader.Plus instead of a black aluminium bezel insert it has a green bezel insert, plus a green plastic tag that has a paper sticker with 16610LV on it..

There is no real "Anniversary" 16610. The 16610LV was released in 2003 as a "Celebration of 50 years of the Submariner", but it was released as a standard production model with only a green insert and the maxi-dial/hands to differentiate it from the "standard" black Sub Date.

All 16610 LV Sub's have been referred to as "Anniversary Subs".

Purists usually look for the early releases to be able to claim that they have a "true anniversary" model. But, as Padi mentions, it's still only a Sub with a green insert and maxi dial..

there are bound to be a multitude of differing opinions on this one, if prior threads are any indication!

So, one would think that the 2003 would be more collectible than subsequent years?

I know it's kind of "apples and oranges" but what is the consensus on $ best spent between 16610v and 116610lv? We are not talking about a huge sum of $ difference between the two...
