Don't be disappointed... it's been put in a SS Daytona. Compliments of Hannes, for Oysterworld.

Even better.....think of all that WG cash you'd be saving and still have the benefit of that gorgeous dial on an SS.

Not a lover of the moden Daytona, but quite like that dial. Love how the red subs and second hands compliment the main dial. And IMO much better than the standard SS dial.
Thats one excellent picture

OMG. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Be still, my palpitating heart. You're right, JJ. I nearly fainted when I saw those gorgeous pictures.

Now THAT's a Daytona.

Ed, serious questions (I know, a rare thing here.......):

Is it the fact that this is a Daytona that appeals to you, or is it just the meteorite dial? Have you looked at other meteorite watches?

Al, I had a chance to slip on a meteorite WG DD at RDV in TO (still with me?) and it was actually even more impressive IMO than the 'D' because the dial was less cluttered! WOW

If I was going DD though, I'd still pick a platinum pressie, with the sky blue dial. YOWSA!

Al, there is just something about the combination of the WG, the metorite face and the red hands, plus the black strap, that just sing to me. The fact that it's a chrono also helps, although I hardly ever use that function, but it is a complication. And you know how I love complications.

But no, it is not the fact of the Daytona, because I really am not enamored of most Daytonas. In part because they are missing the date function.

I did see a meteorite DD in either WG or Pt (I can't remember now which metal it was). It was also beautiful, but it didn't do for me quite what the Daytona does.
