AP ROO diver v Pam 233
Hi, I've been considering getting an AP ROO diver recently and wondered how it compares to a Pam 233 in terms of size and comfort. I own a 233 and it's probably the biggest my wrist could take. I also own a 15300ST which feels great on my wrist, is the lug to lug distance on the diver model much bigger? For reference my wrists are probably just under 6.5 inches.
Thanks Mike |

I have a 6.5" wrist and also own the 233 and 15300. IMHO the 233 is more comfortable as it hugs the wrist better than the Diver or 15300 - it doesn't have those gaps between the wrist and lugs. However the Diver non-tapering flexible rubber strap really helps and it's probably the most comfortable metal ROO.

I should mention that all steel ROO are substantial feeling. The carbon ROOs are nice in that they have the tensile strength of steel but weigh much less making them the MOST comfortable ROOs.

Interesting that you find the 233 more comfortable than a 15300...for me the 15300 is almost perfect and a better fit than the pam. I suppose it all depends on wrist shape.

I find the 233 slightly better because the straps can come straight down off the lug vs the 15300 (or any RO/ROO) which flare out more. I have more of a round wrist than flat.

I dont have the 233 but I do have the 328/312. Both are 44m with the 1950's case and I picked up the AP ROO Diver last week. I find the diver more comfortable. The taper on the Diver's lugs/strap molds to my wrist better and the watch seems to stay centered better w/o having to tighten the strap as much.

My 233K on rubber deployant is 151g vs the Diver which I believe is 165g.

Having owned both references - it is really not about your wrist size but rather shape. Some have a more rounded wrist while others have a flatter one. I have 7 1/4 wrists and somewhat flat, and I had the impression that the ROO line didn't sit as comfortably on me, but I highly suspect that was because I somehow was in-between settings on the regular Diver rubber strap. I think I should have stuck with it and tried the shorter ROO Diver strap for a better fit.

Mike, so that is a longer strap than the regular one, right? With 7 1/4 wrists I was under the impression that I would be going for the shorter strap because I was already on the 2nd to last one with the ROO Diver. |

I have 6.5" wrist and I tried various combo and even bought a short strap from AP Clearwater to get the right fit but I just couldn't get the Diver to sit comfortably with my goofy wrist..granted I am used to leather straps on my PAMs.
I actually think the Diver wears BIGGER than the 233/190/339. your mileage will vary...
