Larry,

There is a gentleman who hand-makes them in northern California. He uses various hardwoods (your choice) and the end-products are simply stunning. The craftmanship is amazing and the prices are extremely reasonable, considering the rarity of the wood used and the attention to detail and finish. His name is Mark Pasha and I can forward you his e-mail address via PM if you're interested.

He can make 6 (single layer) or 12 (double layer - like mine) watch boxes and the compartments fit everything, and I mean everything, including my Kobold Seal and my Casio Pathfinder. No issues whatsovever with space in any dimension (length / width / height). And the guy himself is also great to deal with. Takes a great deal of pride in his work and is really customer-oriented.

I've attached a pic of mine - I have more if you're interested. I recommend this gentleman without hesitation or reservation. He is a class act and his watchboxes are works of art.

Regards,

James

Yep, it's pretty amazing, Larry. I was getting tired of never being able to find one that would fit the larger watches. I was also tired of the cheap materials and shoddy workmanship common in the mass-market cookie-cutter watch boxes. And I figured that I might as well buy something lasting for my watches. So here it is. A beautiful piece of craftmanship. And much more reasonably price than you'd imagine.

James

I picked one up from Bombay Company. It was 50% off during Father's Day. I think I paid about $30.00. Nice deep grain finish with six individual pillow holders and a side holder for pens that was about 3 x 6. It also comes with a lock and key. Its made of veneers but it serves my purposes and seems to be well-made. I haven't had any issues since Father's Day!
