FedEx shipping charges into Canada?
I've been talking with an American seller about a possible purchase, and he would prefer to use FedEx. I was hoping some experienced buyers could give me some info about FedEx brokerage charges, and import duties and taxes.
The watch is $3500 US. |

In my experience, duty is 5%, gst another 5% and depending on where you live, you may have to pay pet if applicable. Brokerage fee, I'm not sure but I think it will be around $50. Hope that helps

I had read that FedEx brokerage fees were excessive, but that sounds reasonable. |

Hmm...The seller insists on FedEx because of insurance, now I learn that they won't insure it. I wonder if the seller plans to ship it with a description other than jewellery?
Agreed. I trust USPS, and Canada Post, but I can't stand FedEx. |
