Rolex Submariner Date Two-Tone Band Removal Tool & Maintenance Tips
Just joined the forum today after receiving my first Rolex (and first nice watch ever ... previous watch was a Movado and a Rado) as a gift from graduating law school!
I have the Submariner Date in two tone reference #116613LN What is the best tool to use for band removal? Quick searches have yielded multiple different tools like watch knife and tons of models from Bergeon. Which one do I need? The Bergeon 6111? Also in my daily wearing of the watch this week I have picked up a few minor scratches on the gold center portion of the band. Any tips on buffing out scratches? What do I need? Specific cloths/sprays, etc.? Thanks for all of your help! |

Welcome! 6111 or a small screwdriver works fine. Tape off the lugs and work each side of the spring bar loose.
Cape Cod cloth works great on PCLs. You can find it on eBay or some automotive stores. |

what about 6767f? there seems to be a large split between why one prefers one over the other
is there any advantage to either one? just personal preference? |
