New HEROIC 18 Strap Review
Hi guys...
I just received this new Heroic 18 strap from the Poseidon Series in Italian Sandy Tan (135/80). It is hand-stitched with a transparent edge coat, which gives it a great vintage look. It includes two floating keepers and I ordered it with a brushed Titanium-finish buckle (with engraved logo) to match my 177. This is my first Heroic 18, so I thought I would post this short review. First, the strap was in-stock and arrived about 7 days after I placed my order. It was shipped registered mail and arrived in a really cool foam/aluminum case that doubles as a travel case for your PAM. Very cool... Second, the buckle is absolutely the best PAM buckle I have ever encountered. It is thick, well-finished with a very nice engraved logo that looks amazing. In fact, I am going to order a few more buckles (including a PIG-style) for some of my other straps... The leather is soft to the touch, pliable and firm. It will probably need a few days to break-in, but right out of the box it is already comfortable and the thickness is just right. The color of the strap is a really nice natural tan that will patina with age. It has a slight caramel/almond tone and reminds me of the Toshi Almond... I am extremely pleased with this strap and plan to order a few more soon. Both the strap and the buckle exceeded my expectations and for the price ($108) and the quality, it is an absolute bargain.

Looks great. I like the way they finish the edge. Considering a tan strap for my 177 as well, thanks for the pics & review! They have a nice website & the straps seem pretty well priced.
Are the keepers upside down or is that how they are supposed to be worn? |

Congrats. I have a heroic18 strap too but in a lighter tan. I suspect they are not truly hand stitched. Still great value.

Looks great Charles - I've had H18 straps in the past and liked them (& the buckles) very much

Looks good, I just got in some new straps for my 177, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

you're right, charles, the colors are pretty similar. your stitching is a bit bolder and the strap is a bit thicker, giving a more casual cool look. i like it very much. btw, it was dalip who first enabled me to get the almond, as he had it on his 24. a pic to compare.... |

Thanks Dalip! I like the way it brightens things up a bit for summer, at least up here in the Northern Hemisphere:)

Very nice Charles! I just received 2 from Heroic 18 last week myself! Their customer service is second to none and I have enjoyed working with Donald there. For being in Hong Kong I could not believe how quick they responded to my email as well as receiving my straps in a week or so too

I love your strap, your review will help me when I decide to purchase a strap from this vendor as I am new to purchasing the bigger Panerai straps. Great choice.
