The second hand on my 6564?
Hi, just asking for information as to why my second hand is a bit "choppy". It's been like this for the entire time I have owned it. It is a 1030 movement. I opened it up a while back and discovered that one of the parts wasn't hitting a gear every time.(forgive me, I don't know the names of most of the parts) The part was a little brass colored thing. It was long and fairly thin. The gear was small-toothed, which made me think that this had something to do with the second hand. (Because of 8 ticks per second) What I believe I need to do is simply tighten the little part, but I'm not completely sure. Does anyone have any other suggestions as of what to do, or what else could be going wrong? I think this really affects the look of the watch, and makes it seem kind of fake.

Find a watchmaker unless you really know what you are doing IMHO...

Thanks for your input. I actually do have a good bit of experience with watch repair, but I don't work with Rolexes much.
