What is the difference?

Hello Everyone,

I just joined the forum and i have a question to ask all the experts here on this board. I am looking into purchasing my wife her first rolex. I went into a store today at my local mall and pretty much found the one I would like to get my wife I asked the sales person what the name was and he said it the Ladies Datejust with diamonds on the bezel.

I cam home and started to do some searches and found out there are people on ebay selling the one i want to purchase for my wife a lot less and costumed. I was wondering what do reseller redo the watch and sell them "new with tags" How come at the store its $15,000 but on ebay reputable sellers sell its for $7.5-10k? What am i missing?

Thanks In Advance.

Tial

Just sit down and spend a couple hours reading TRF, you'll be 100% more prepared to make any purchase in a week's time......

This is solid advice and should be "sticky" on the forum.

An authorized dealer will be the most expensive.

You have to buy the seller 1st!

Do your research on anyone/anywhere you decide to purchase.

Used is cheaper, but a fake is worse!

Look at the classified section of the forum, ask for references and make her a very happy woman.

When I bought my wife a date just with mother of pearl and diamonds, I wrapped it in a large ornament box, then a camera box and then she struck gold. She cried with happiness.

Enjoy the ride, it's a great feeling to give the one you love something she isn't expecting.

Just make sure you are penny and pound wise :))))
