Great experience at RSC-Dallas
Some of you may remember The Horror (see pic below); to sum it up, the morning of my 40th birthday my wife started my day telling me she had broken my beloved GMT Coke. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu...
After waiting until I was alone to throw a tantrum and venting to this great community, I decided to make the drive (from Houston) to the RSC in Dallas. I did this in mid-May when I had a chance to come to the US. The Rolex building in Dallas is beautiful, I wish they were in Houston. I felt like I was inside a huge Rolex box. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and encouraged me to take some of their publications with me, which I loved (there is a magazine called "Spirit", which is just great). I returned to the US yesterday and my GMT was waiting for me. They did an AMAZING job. My watch looks brand new, and I have a one-year warranty because they performed a full service. It was not cheap, but it's nice to get what you pay for. Being the heathen that I am, I put it on a bund strap that I just got and I'm loving the new look. Pardon me for being a dork and doing the whole "incoming" set of pics, but it feels like it's a new piece. Enjoy the pics! |

Looks like they did a great job. Did you send that bracelet in too. I'd like to see how that came back.

No, I am embarrassed to admit that I could not find it at the time. I took the watch in while it was on a NATO strap, which is how my wife wore it. They gracefully suggested a new original bracelet, which I declined because I knew I had it somewhere (I found it last week). It's a bummer because I know they would've cleaned it up. Maybe next service.

Looks great! I've used the Dallas RSC before and I was happy with the results. Glad it all worked out for you (and your wife!).

It was just over $1,100. They had to change the hands too because the watch was dropped at around 7:30, so both hands were damaged.
I still consider myself lucky because my wife just let the watch run, and in spite of that there was no damage to the movement. |

Congrats! Dallas RSC always does an awesome job! I always thought they were the best (biased), but a recent B'ling service may have given them a run for their money...

A service is $600 - $650. $500 for hands and a crystal? What was the charge for the hands and crystal?

I can't look at the invoice right now (already in the safe) but my peace of mind is priceless. I have ZERO worries about the quality of the work, the authenticity of the pieces, etc. Moreover, I place value on the relationship that I've established with some of their staff, and this relationship is already paying off by someone there helping me with some information on another one of my pieces.
