New light box!

Greetings TRF,

I've said it a few times already but I've got a light box for my birthday, therefore I thought it would be nice to share a picture with you guys!

This one is special, it is my first 10:10:31 28...I had to cheat a little bit to get the second hand to stop at the right place though...

Thank you for watching, feel free to comment!

Carl, nice picture. Is that an extra luminous dot between the 10 and 11 position?

I was waiting for someone to notice it! One of the lume dots fell off indeed! I need to have this fixed!

In fact, since the lume is pretty much dead on it, I was thinking that I might as well ask the person who will work on my watch to simply remove them all.

Thank you Feras! I only took the bracelet off for the picture but a brown band would probably be a good choice indeed (along with the black one I already have).

I'm thinking the black background looks quite nice as well, I took a couple of pictures with it and was pretty satisfied. Another day perhaps!

Thank you Rob!

Carl, sorry didn't mean to point out the obvious. Wasn't meant to be mean comment. Hope you didn't take it that way. Do you think your watchmaker would be able to put it back in place with a little adhesive? Even though the lume is dead I like the look with them in place.

With some photoshop work you could become Paul's subcontractor for Jocke repartee...

looks great - I'm guessing your 3 o'clock dot has been 2-timing its partner with the 10 & 11 o'clock dots

Hey Carl, that's a great picture, I guess a light box makes a huge difference..

About the lume, get that out of the wathc ASAP before it falls into the date window and does God knows what in the way of damage. Since it's from 12:00, I would just remove it, the crown is enough there IMHO...

Thank you gentlemen! I really recommend this light box to anybody who wants to practice and take good pictures (I'm not there yet but it helps).

I'll post pictures of the box later on!

That's a problem I've noticed with the white sheet, it shows you how tough a Rolex can be (see how I like to live it on the edge? I open the crown and throw it in dust! ).

No offense taken my friend! I noticed it before I took the picture but I thought it was hidden in the crystal (I didn't notice it was at that position...). I'll have to ask a watchmaker to take care of it indeed but since the dots are a bit misplaced I'm seriously considering taking them off. I just don't want him to stick it again and see it falling down again...

The watch is in a position that avoids this accident John but I am careful with that indeed! I don't want to send that watch for a service before its time...

Beautiful picture Carl! I guess a light box really helps bring out the beauty in a timepiece!

Thank you Sam, it does help indeed!

By the way, here's a picture (not mine) of the lightbox my girlfriend gave me. One can easily find it on Ebay (no publicity intended, I just want to show what I've got).
