sapphire caseback: pull trigger? (sub 116610LN)

Recently got this in mail. Should i pull the trigger? watch is almost brand new (june-12)

You've come this far, go for it. I'm guessing it's a Thomas Preik piece, excellent product, have one on my Speedy.

I like the idea of the transparent case back and I'll probably put one on, but I'm going to wait till my watch is out of warranty. Never know what's going to happen and putting one on will void the warranty (I think).

My guess would be that it is, as traditionally the crystal is not the weak point. That said, I'd pressure test before going down there.

I think there are more finished movements that make the clear case back more enticing, but it is still cool to watch the Rolex movement heart beat.
