Wow!

The last 3 weeks I have been checking my DSSD the same time each Saturday to measure the accuracy.

Week 1 - .57 seconds slow per day
Week 2 - .29 seconds slow per day
Week 3 - .14 seconds slow per day

And for all the mathematically challenged out there, thats 1 second slow PER WEEK divided by 7 days in a week. Thats right, 1 second slow PER WEEK!!

I wear it 24 hours a day so I have not been regulating by letting sit in different positions at night.

Just one more reason why I love this bad mutha shout yo mouth..............

Last time I set my 5513 was Sept 1980 just checked it today was 1.99776459 seconds fast. But hey what's in a second or so out of 86400 in a day, never even bother to check now just adjust once a month if I remember.

the regulating in three positions- can nu please explain? my 1979 dj 16014 is running fast, 5 seconds per minute fast, i figure the balance wheel is got into short cycle, but why?>
maybe magnetized? i demagnitized it yesterday though the watchmaker did it in one second.....do I need to not wear it and place it in different positions?

My Datejust definitely runs +0.7 seconds per day, measured over a week or more, right of the box, now 10 months old.

No need for this level of accuracy, but GREAT to have it !

That's pretty amazing accuracy Dan.

I was wondering if you were going to update us on the timing of your DSSD this week and then I saw this thread!

Always nice to read good news about these watches rather than the "OMG my watch is off by x seconds, what should I do?" posts. Good to hear, Dan! Soiunds like you couldn't be happier.

Sadly my Sea Dweller has started gaining a bit of time lately. I must have smacked it into something. I'll have to find someone to regulate it as it's not service time yet.

Reading the first half of this, I thought you were saying your watch gained only 2 seconds over the course of 32 years!!

Pretty simple really. Just set it to known time source to the exact second. Wait a week and see how many seconds it is fast or slow. Take that number and divide it by 7 days and that will give you how fast or slow it is per day over that week.
