thanks for the comment , these references do not randomly appear they usually are kept for very special occasions. the reason i haven't seen this one before is because my friend inherited it from his father that sadly passed away last year.
i already am aware that he had a great collection of fine watches (including a few rolexes) its just this one was new to me ..

i hope someday if my friend agrees we can explore this treasure of time pieces together !!

;-) Aziz it's a stunning reference for real! It's really a shame my 18946 gets no run! Maybe I can have it turn into a Sky Dweller?

Absolutely stunning Sam ! i believe these references are not for casual wear ,,
they are a hidden treasure that you just might happen to wear on your kids' wedding then save it again for another momentous occasion.. truly works of art.
So get the Sky dweller and keep your masterpiece plzzz

Idk what it is now. Gorgeous piece though the high polished platinum bracelet is a pain in the ass to keep clean! Sam im guessing you sold yours but if you have more pics please share them!Gotta love the name of this watch,it really plays out to be the king of Rolex's. The "Masterpiece" One of my all time favorite Rolex's and watches of all time.
Matthew, I still own my 18946, however, at this point I rarely wear it, will surely take some fresh pics and post

Aziz, I have genuinely never thought about that! Wow that would be something if I would keep it and in 25-30 years wear it to my future kids wedding or special event! Thinking! Thanks for your kind words!

Mmmhmm. Something about that baguette-set bezel and meteorite diamond dial. Complete stunner, even if I'm normally not a huge fan of diamonds on men's watches.

What's the purpose of a diamond bezel? Seriously?

I am a fan of diamonds on watches (to a degree) but sometimes it takes away from the elegance of the piece.

It's not for everyone and in my case I purchased mine just because... It's not what I am into any longer, however, that's why there is something for everyone! That DD2 in your avi is a stunner, however, someone will say... Whats the purpose of a gold watch?

Hey man - your watch looks sexy. I looked at a version of my DD2 w/ a diamond bezel and although I'd pull it off, I felt it made the watch "bling" instead of subtle.

So here's a question for you - how was it wearing a watch that is so loud? Did people pay compliments, others make comments, were u more protective of your left hand? :)

I find with mine, even when I'm in meetings, peoples eyes are following the direction of my left hand rather than staying 100% focused on what's being discussed.

I have a diamond and mop date just - but it's not as noticeable.
