DSSD dial change = greater future value??
Just come back from the UK and met up with a few WIS friends there....one of them argued that my M-serial DSSD with the "Star Wars" shaped 'S' (or flat S if you like) in 'Sea Dweller' will likely be worth more over time since they moved to the more traditionally shaped 'S' about mid-V serial....I argued this was not the case given it's such a small variation on a production watch - couldn't convince him...
What do you all say?? Thanks!! |

Rolex dial font changes have been happening for decades - it won't alter the value one jot

Didn't something like this happen with the GMT Master II - which some fonts are referred to as match stick or something? Not sure if they are any more / less desired but I remember reading about it awhile back.

internet hype
everytime i've asked and shown Rolex font variations they just look at me and say "we use different suppliers, but the font is the same" i'm sure there are M serial dials left in a box somewhere and they'll be used at some point
