Rolex Now The Third Most Valuable Brand In The World

I don't know if you've seen this:

In an annual study put out by Millward Brown Optimor, the privately held, Geneva-based watchmaker Rolex rose in brand value by over 36% to become the third most valuable luxury brand in the world, behind only Louis Vuitton and Hermes. Who topped Rolex isn't as newsworthy as who Rolex topped in the list - and that includes not only other massive luxury brands like Gucci, Chanel, and Prada, but even famed jeweler and competing watchmaking Cartier. Rolex is the only pure watchmaker in the top ten of the BrandZ list of luxury companies, and its strength is credited to "brand contribution," or ways the brand differentiates itself from its competitors providing last value.

The entire BrandZ report from Millward Brow Optimor can be found here: http://www.millwardbrown.com/BrandZ/...al_Brands.aspx. It's worth a perusal.

Thanks Rich! Hope all is well on your side, I don't mean to hijack this thread, however, here is my TRF thread from a year ago when I was deciding between the TT and YG version of my Yacht-Master 1
