Will AP ever make .. "silver" ceramic?
Well, I just have to ask! :)
With the new 44s all sharing black ceramic bezels, the limited editions of the 42s leaning towards black ceramic, I reckon the logical question is: what are they going to do when they want to go back with the brushed finish, or when a dial will work well with that awesome silver that AP achieves on the SS. Duh, SS will be used, yes, but how will they keep the MUCH IMPROVED practicality? Rubberclads making a come back in 44? Sure, why not. I am game. But again, that black look, so what will happen to the following aesthetically unmistakable AP "silver"? Surely, it cannot be limited to, let alone DIE with SS. Can it? Silver ceramic. Is it possible? :) |

the Ceramet bezel they used in LE Trull will look great on SS. You can see on picture how different it is from black ceramic.

Exactly Bogdan!
The Ceramet is more silver/grey and would look great on a steel watch.

The Ceramet totally slipped my mind of the JT. I tried that watch in real life but I did not compare it to a ceramic bezel as I did not have the BB back then.
I agree, that 'shade' of silver on an SS case would be great, as seen here in the pics below: I actually think that, based on those pictures and with a bit of imagination, an SS case/Ceramet bezel is even more aesthetically pleasing. |

I got the pics from here. Notice the date (2010).
It says Pride of Mexico, limited to 10 pieces! Which is strange because I only know of those two versions of POM. I believe it is either a concept watch, as is shown here; or that the plans for the POM edition changed and they did not end up using Ceramet. Notice the engraving on the first link above. It says only limited to 10 pieces, while the production run of the POM was 200. Very interesting nonetheless! |

I think a silver/grey ceramic bezel would be amazing on the Diver, and very practical.
