New guy

Hi everyone!

Only just joined the forum, very knowledgable and informative!
Bought my first Rolex last week, a SS Daytona white dial. I must admit that it wasn't a planned purchase and I'm no expert when it comes to Rolex.
I was looking to treat myself, I have a Cartier Santos 100XL and wanted a sportier watch. I was going to get a Calibre de Cartier but after going browsing I saw a preowned TT Submariner and thought... That's nice! I tried it on, the dealer offered to sell at £5,800 (2005 pristine) but I decided to research a bit more. By the way, was that a good price?

Anyway, I just stumbled upon the Daytona when researching further into Rolex and I fell in love with it. It just looks... SO NICE! So nice that nothing else would do... To me it was perfect and even though it was nearly £3000 more than I was planning to spend I had to get one!

I realise now I was quite lucky to be able to have bought a new one so soon!

Just wanted to share my tale with everyone on the forum, I'm sure you'll understand how I feel... Everyone around me thinks I'm mad!
