Rolex 1550 Bezel
A buddy of mine has a 1550 Date and there is something up with the bezel. It almost looks like the bezel was polished through to the underlaying metal as it does have a gold color but not the proper shade in a couple spots. I was guessing someone who didn't know what they were doing buffed the crap out of it. So my question is can you even source a replacement bezel for this model? If so any idea as to cost? Thanks in advance.

I've done some searching but really am coming up empty. If anyone knows any direction to point me in it would be greatly appreciated. Shawn

The 1550 is gold-plated, so it's possible to overpolish as you're suggesting. Best bet would be to contact Rolex directly and ask if they have the part.

Thanks for the heads up. I suspected that may be the case with the bezel. But I really wasn't sure. I did not know if they used a solid or plated bezel with the clad case. I know on some of the vintage Omegas they used solid bezels on the gold capped cases.
