Diver or Scuba??

Hey Guys, I just joined TRF few days long ago, & I'm totally new to this AP forum. but i would like to ask all of you TRF members' opinions on one of the most popluar model, Diver!

- What's the difference between Diver & Scuba?
- Are they using the same movements? if not which one supposedly better?

I've been looking for getting another AP for my watches collection, & somehow this Scuba model popped up on my browser, i like the look of it, but honestly i had no clues, & i know nothing what so ever about this model; but after i did some research & realized the Scubas' were limited edtion, so it actually caught up my eyes even more & made me want to add this to my collection! but then.. the only problem i have is, the scuba looks just identical/ simliar to the Diver, so.. what do you guys think? is diver a better watch? & do you think the scuba will keep the value better?? is it worth for me to spend $20k+ on the scuba? or should i get the diver instead or save up a bit more to get the new ROO SS??

I found only few of the scuba for sale on the internet, & this one place call "motion in time" in NY has almost all of them, i wonder if i should fly there & take a look at it in person! cuz i'm the person that i have to try or put the watches on my wrist before i buy it, at least i need to know how it fit and how it looks before i get it. I tried the diver at AD in BH, & It looks great but i also like the dial on the scuba!! awwww.... does any TRF members have pics of the scuba on their wrist?? please share with me, so that i can make my own final decision! <-- or should I save a bit more for the ROO SS??

Many thanks for all of your opinions!

Henry C.

The scuba model is bigger at 45mm, also the hands and dial indexes are different from the Diver.

Scuba is a limited production of 125?

Personally I would go for the Diver.

Thanks for the info Andreas, i did some more research & found out that the red, blue & orange are limited production of 300 worldwide, & the wempe is 175!

any TRF members own one of those? i read a lot of article on the internet today & noticed that it's a pretty hard to get watch, mind to share some pics?

The Scuba's are exactly as big as the Diver 42mm.
Personally i prefer the Diver over any Scuba.

Here's one version of the Scuba.

3120 is a better movement than 2325.

And of course the movement is much more reliable in the Diver 3120

Allright Thomas, I thought it was 45mm. The 42mm is perfect though.

The diver is much better imho due to the baton hour markers and not those terrible numbers... Also, the plain black catches the light beautifully!

i like the hands on the scuba.
aside from that, the Diver takes it in every other way...

of course the hands are a significant issue, since they are such a focal point

If you're looking for a splash of color than scuba but the diver conservative color combo makes it more wearable.

Thanks guys for all the advises!! so.. after careful consideration, i finally pulled the trigger; i walked into the AD & got myself the Diver!! it's a really wonderful time piece, the color contrast is amazing especially under the sun; i tested fit at Beverly Hills boutique before, but it's different once you take the watch out of the store, the reflection of the dial under the sun is amazing, & a lot better than how it will look under the store lights, anyway, thanks for the advises guys!!

sorry for the bad picture, but i will take some nice pic & upload it when i have time!!
