Rolex 1500
Hello all,
I was looking at buying my first Rolex and I stumbled upon this one being sold locally. My main concern is if it is authentic. The movement looks good, but I just wanted to check what the experts thought before I put money down. He wants 1100. Do you think thats a fair deal? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Do the hands look off? The hour hand seems too wide. Unless its the light and/or angle, I don't see a strip of luminous on the hands. Is that correct? Sorry, I know you're looking for answers, not questions. But I am far from an expert on these!

Personally, I have never seen that dial before and I really don't like the hands. I think they're replacements or the lighting is throwing me off.

It's beautiful! Congratulations.
Great feature about Rolexes is that even the vintage ones run strong. Of all the watches in my sock drawer the Rolexes are the only ones that will start running the instant I move them. Others, even somewhat snootier brands, remain dormant until I wind them or shake very hard--wake up, wake up! Have fun wearing it. |

Thanks guys! I really love it. I'm in the market for a bracelet for it now, but I'm not positive what to look for in this regard. I understand it could have been on either a riveted or folded 19mm band, but I am not sure what to look for in respects to the condition of the band itself. How do you tell if the band is over polished or how much stretch it has on ebay? What are the questions I should be asking the seller? Thanks for all the kind words!
