HELP...... me choose!
right, im 28 rarley wear a suit for my job but it has been known. i dont really live a ruff and tumle lifestyle but i do like a versitle watch that can do it all. My Panerai isnt that versitle and doesnt fit with my understated style as much as a rolex does. plus i miss not wearing one! it would be my everyday watch.
i have a budget of $7000 HARD MAXIMUM. although im in a puzzle as to what im wanting and dont really want to flip this one! im looking at a few models most likely LNIB or similar from a trusted seller. can someone help me make some sense of it all....im looking at possibly; 116710 - was my first rolex 3 years ago, did love it but moved it on and have regreted it since. i had the centre lings brushed when i had it and kinda wanted a SS ceramic sub when i had it although it wasnt out then. however im feeling to the love for this again. 116610 - i do really like this although i prefer the bezel of the 116710, but the bacelet it brushed and it is an all time classic 16610LV - classic style and the more rugged look than the 116610 however i prefer the new clasp and braclet on the 116610 216570 white - tried this on and fell im love.... however im wondering if it has the class and versitlity im looking for. 116334 Black Roman - i had a 116200 black roman and loved it however it was too small and i was kinda hankering after a sports model when i had it so this larger model may be the answer? but then again maybe not 114060 - love the clean dial and hass all the other qualities of the 116610 but miss the lack of date on my panerai 116400GV - quirky and cool but like a cross between a DJ and a sports model but may miss the date so many options but im trying to choose the best fit! can anyone help? thanks Joe |

Very tough choice! The 116710 is the only watch I regret selling. I have thevsea dweller which is a wonderful watch and I would highly recommend it. If you prefer the ceramic bezel I would go GMT again but if you want something different then I would go Sub or Milgauss from your list.
Cheers

Sounds like you need to narrow the field more. Personally, I'd get the GMTIIc.

You have way too many choices to not have regrets. I cant tell you what to get, nor would I try. All I'll say is take your time and I think a few of your choices may eliminate themselves.

I prefer my watch to have the date (I actually find it useful).
From your list, I'd choose the 116710 or 116610LN. I have neither of them, but one of those 2 will be my next watch. |

I absolutely love my GMT. It's hard to say never but I believe I will never have to rebuy a GMT because I can't see ever letting this one go.

Hmm. Not sure which of the many watches you listed would be the most versitle for a ruff and tumle lifestyle...
I would agree that it might be best to narrow the field a bit. |

From your choices, the GMT C ... though I'd take a look at the Explorer II 42.

My solid answer is 116610LN. You wanted one years ago and you will be very happy to have it now. It's a great watch that, IMO, can do dress up to dress down to casual to beater without looking out of place or awkward. It's really a do-it-all watch, unless you do black tie often I guess.
