It's not quite from 2003, but I paid $4,575 in June, 2004 from AD.

Thanks! That is what I paid in 08/11 $5198 or something. The AD said they didn't raise the price as they don't "on discontinued watches"
I guess that is why Jared is no longer an AD! LOL That website says there was 4 MSRP's during the history of the LV...but none of them are what I paid as a MSRP. LOL Anniv. Submariner - 16610LV - - $4,875 $5,525 $6,225 $6,400 |

No "ouch" then or now. Given the used prices (for a V serial) at the time I gladly paid the premium for brand new with two year warranty and my name on the card. This LV will be my monday to friday till the end, and worth every penny imo. |

One of my three grails, the other two being a GMT pepsi and a 16613 TT bluesy...
For some reason the older models attract me more than the new ceramics, and not just because the prices are lower for the older ones, and even though the new glide lock is a significant upgrade. A question - is the case on the 16610,smaller than on the 116610, or the same size? |

Well, find a catalog where the LV was listed for the first time and that's it, that's your starting price ---

When I was looking at my first Rolex... the LV was low $5000 as well. I think it was $5300.
