Boo Hoo! Sub Gone!

Sadly, due to unemployment and the dire state of the economy, I have had to sell my beloved Sub. It broke my heart. If things don't pick up soon, my gorgeous Ducati will have to go as well. At least I got a good price, everybody wants a nice Submariner. Think I'll be drowning my sorrows at the weekend!

Very, very sorry to hear this. The good news is, is when things come around for you soon (and they will, trust me) you can get another.

Stay positive Mick and remember these are just material things you can purchase again in the future. Things will get better - they always do!

Drinking doesn't solve anything.

Stay positive though!

And I hope you'll get to keep the Ducati.

Well said! Besides, if anything, this tells me that you have your priorities in a good order.

I wish you the best of luck my friend!

You'll work back to getting a sub again. Good that you were able to sell if when you needed he cash. That is another benefit of having a Rolex. I'm sure things will pick up again, as said before-they always do!

Nice to have toys, but that's all they are. My Sub sold 13 years ago. No regrets today, but it sure hurt at the time. You'll be in a better place after you sell the toys. If you try to keep the toys, you may end up somewhere you don't want to be, and possibly lose the toys anyway. Your wisdom today will save you tomorrow. And who knows? Maybe when things recover, you'll find better toys!

Thanks guys! Yeah, toys is toys and there are much more important things in life. I have a very supportive and loving wife (thank heavens) and we'll certainly get through this sticky patch. If the Ducati has to go, then so be it. I'll just get a lesser bike instead until things get better. I've got my eye on a nice Z1R! Unfortunately, the bare patch on my arm cannot be filled via a cheapo watch, so I will wait until I can get another Rollie. There is no substitute!
