Help: Is this covered?

I received my Rolex (116233) directly from Rolex on January 23rd 2012. The piece (not sure what it's called) that the crown winds down onto is coming out when I unscrew the crown. Away from the case. Should this ever happen? Will Rolex cover this? I would take it to the store where I purchased, but it'a an insurance replacement. Again, shipped to me directly from RUSA.

I work in NYC, so I'm thinking of taking it to RSC myself, but when I spoke to them, they wouldn't say if it was covered before seeing it.

I tried to take a pic too. Attached.

Your opinions and help are appreciated.
