Panerai Price Increase

Went to my local AD and he mentioned that Panerai is having a price increase on Monday, Oct 1st. I haven't seen a lot of chatter on the web....just one little blog entry somewhere. Has anyone heard of the price hike? Will it just affect certain models or it an an across the board increase?

I read the same on Paneristi. I heard an increase of 0.6 % on another site, but this is not confirmed, and personally I don't think Officine Panerai would bother having an increase that "tiny"... Any of you have any insights - or heard any rumours?

Have a nice Sunday.

I heard the same as well. I expected it to be 5% or more.... 0.6% isn't too bad.

I'm going to a different AD today. I'll see if theyll give more info on the price increase. I'm sure theyll give details to try and close a sale for the month!

I went by my local Panerai AD yesterday. As per the saleslady, only certain models will have a price increase. I don't know which ones, but i do know the 359 and the 048will remain at the same current price. The increase on most other models will be minimal, about 100-200 USD or thereabouts.
hope this helps!

Just got back from a couple AD's and the price increase does take effect tomorrow. On average, there will be a price increase on certain models by an average of 6%. For example, the 104 will go up to $7400. The price of the 312 I was looking at will stay the same. And some models will go down in price, like the 321 (-$200). If you're looking to buy from an AD soon, then you've got a few more hours to run down to the store to save a few bucks! =)

I heard from a couple dealers about a price increase Oct 1.
Did factor in when going for my 305.

I heard from my dealer that it was just Europe and it was a couple of hundred dollar increase. Anyone hear anything else?

This may have been a US and Euro price hike then. The two AD's I went to near DC confirmed the price increase and had the print out of the price list from Panerai.

Rarely we will some manufacturers lower their price, especially Panerai. Am I alright?

So I just got off the phone with the Dallas, TX boutique and they said there was an increase but only on two models. I'm sorry I didn't catch which two since it was not one that I own.

No surprise, just some urgency in case of impending purchase.

They need to be dropping price to increase sales, not increase... But Panerai has become terrible with marketing

Oh well

Good if you can time it right.1st of April 2008 it went up in the US but only on the 21st in SA.It went up by 15% in SA.So I spent big on Panerai before the 21st.
Dealers usually dont know, they get a fax or mail with the new pricing and thats that.I always find it amusing that the watches in stock also increase in price !!
Prices go up,your collection goes up in value too...thats good !

I heard that in UK the prices increase 5 per cent.
