Buying 2009 submariner, help/thoughts
Newto this, buying 2009 Submarinar, 40MM Black Bezel/Champaigne serti - with bezel engraving. All things seem good with discussion with Dennis @Goldwatch co, and good ratings - but I know nothing. What should I ask and look for to validate prior to purchase prior to wire? Learned a lot from reading prior posts. Have saved for this a long time. Thanks.

What do you know about the seller? Does the watch have box/papers? Do the papers match the watch?

Just saw watch on website - and started discussion. Site at Goldwatchco say has full papers, box and tags. I asked for PDF of papers and was told they could send picture. Website already has picture. Just don't know what is standard. link is below:

I believe the TT Sub was offered with the serti dial not the SS.
Is it a TT?

A watch purchase is a personal decision.. The Serti Sub is not a popular model, so I would question the price as they were sold new from an Authorized Dealer at as much as 20% off. These are used watches, so you can find them all day long at this price or less so you aren't really "saving" anything as they claim.
I also don't know what they mean by "engraved bezel", nor do I know how they are arriving at the "2009 model" since Rolex does not produce watches by a model year.. If it is the model you want, and the price is consistent with other research you have done for that same watch, your only concern is the reputation of the seller.. There is nothing else you can do.. there is no means to "validate" anything because you do not have your hands on the watch.. only pictures and pictures can be from any source.
