The crown in the blue one looks fake to me, too easy to 'be viewed'. Send it to me and I will destroy it for you

Bo, Im sure JJ uses a 'big' great camera with a good macro

PS: I would like to take/view the lec, but the crystal of my datejust is plastic :(

Quite a simple one actually - a CANON A460 Powershot, 5 mp, 4x Optical Zoom and 1 cm macro mode capability.

Lighting from the side

Some other things that might help.

1. Light from the side so the crystal is illuminated.
2. Very narrow depth of field.
3. Macro setting.

Try a 10x loupe and either natural sunlight or a reading lamp. It's not easy, but you will eventually succeed.

Good luck - JJ

Found it!

I used the magnifying glass in my swiss army knife under the reading lamp. It wasn't easy but I got it.
