14060M or SD... will bracelet fit 8" wrist with no added links
Hello,
First post here. Have enjoyed reading all your posts and have learned a great deal. Thanks! I believe I'll be taking the "plunge' (pun intended) with either a 14060M or Sea Dweller in the not too distant future. I have two questions if you please. 1) I have an 8 inch wrist, will links need to be added to the bracelet(s)? 2) To the best of your knowledge are changes in store to either the Sub ND or SD that would be worth waiting for, (like the GMTII changes ) such as bracelet or clasp improvements, maxi dial , etc.. I always thought I wanted a GMTII but don't care for the tiny crown on the "older model" and can't warm up to the new one plus I'm not crazy about the cyclops. In any event, thanks in advance. OB |

Welcome...
Go down and try one on to see if it will fit you.. We all wear them a bit differently and like a bit of a different feel. As far as waiting for changes.............. The 14060M was just updated at Basel this past year with the COSC dial.... All the Rolex line will be getting the engraved rehaut.. As far as any other changes...we will have to wait until the Basel show April 3-10 2008, to see.....then it will be another few months before anything from the show is released.. |

The no-date SUB comes with 12 original links all up....so make sure you check that out. 7 links on the '12' side and 5 on the 6 o'clock side. Good luck - JJ

Welcome to TRF!
Most sport's Rolex watches fit a 7 to 7½ " wrist right from the box, no adjusting. Bigger than that, and you would probably need an extra link.

Whether any changes are worth waiting for is of course in the eyes of the beholder so to speak. I think we will certainly see changes in the future that will include the maxi-dial and improved movement. Rolex has already introduced a new GMT. I can't for the life of me see Rolex allowing the Submariner, arguably the flagship of the sport line to lag behind the GMT. |

When I picked up my LV, I wanted to wera it for my brother in laws wedding that Saturday.
I have an 8.5 inch wrist and the brqcelet on full extension struggled to get over my hand!!! My AD ordered a couple of extra links but I still wore the watch for the wedding with the wetsuit extension deployed. On the Monday, the AD called and my wife took the watch in to have the link fitted. I actually had two links fitted and with the bracelet on it's largest fitting, the watch is now comfortable (ie I can slide a finger between my wtach and my wrist at it's narrowest part). Get the links, they're free from the AD and it's worth it in the long run to avoid excessive stretch in the band. J |
