Rolex Prices...
Hey fellow TRFer's!
I just wanted to strike up a discussion about the price of Rolex's, the SS models in particular.. in 18ct and Platinum, the prices are real high with any brand, so I'll leave precious metals to one side.. OK so Rolex entry level pieces start at around £4,000.00 here in the UK.. Which I think is reasonable. The arguement many of my customers have is brands likes Breitling and Omega, offer a much more "substancial" watch for much less dollar.. Obviously this being TRF, I'm really passionate about the brand and would always stick to the brand before any other brand (although I've owned many other brands), I find the quality, feel, and overall appearence of Rolex, perfection! But lets just think... How can Breitling/Omega manufacture watches that do technically "on paper" have superior functions/depth ratings/power reserves etc...?? I would love to hear all of your takes on this.. As I said, I'm a Rolex guy through and through, but just can't understand their price point!! DSSD... £8,070.00 here in the UK..
