Went to my AD today
I think I am spending way too much time thinking abut watches!!
I looked at a gorgeous two tone Daytona. They will even discount it a bit. Might have to go for it for Christmas! I also asked about servicing. They send watches now to the Florida RSC, which they feel is faster and has better service than Dallas or NYC. Thoughts on this? I plan on getting my GMT Master serviced in the next year or so. It is running well right now, and looks nice, so no need just yet. I ordered some spare link screws for my Explorer and GMT. And asked at the nice little green travel pouches. The sales lady was kind enough to give me one for free! It is great, nicely made and will be a constant travel companion regardless of which watch I am wearing now. Nice afternoon looking at the Rolexes. These guys are King St Jewelers on King St in Old Town Alexandria, Va. They had a decent display of Submariners as well, an older two tone version, the new HULK, Subc ND, Subc date and a DSSD, which is positively massive. I still think the lugs are too large on the new Subs, and they need to widen the band a bit to match. But they are neat watches. They also had both a black and a white dial Explorer II with the updated case, big watches! |

Is there anything else better to do with ones time than spend on watches? I don't think so.
Sounds like a nice afternoon.
