Tudor Quesitons?
Ok, so after seeing way too many pics of them on this forum, and reading all the great things that are said about them. Now I want one. The question is where do I buy one from? They are not sold in the United States. Where do you guys recommend buying them from besides on this forum? Is there a store where they can be seen and tried on?
I understand they are ETA movements. Is there any issue with ETA movements/parts, and getting them serviced? What is there to consider when buying a BNIB tudor sub, any movement or model more or less desirable, reliable, service etc.. |

ETA movts. are fine....a competent watchmaker can service them......if you have Canadian friends or travel there..you can get one.

John, take the time to google your a$$ off and learn as much as you can about the brand and it's history. I'm not at my home computer to add links, sorry. But a quick search will get you started. Then decide what reference frosts your flakes. At that point you're in the home stretch and ready to snag some lifetime enjoyment.
Best of luck, it's well worth it. dP

Since your in New York, I would find an AD in Canada in advanced to ensure the models that your interested in are in stock, then spend a weekend with our friends from the North! I did this to get my Pelagos and had a blast!

There are always ads for Tudors on this website, should be no problem to buy one.

I don't think I would do the run to Canada unless you absolutely must have a BNIB from an AD. TRF Classifieds and/or a WTB might be better.

Sounds like a good excuse to go North! New York City is not that far when you think of it. I do actually like trying on and buying new is what I am after. So I am considering this. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and pms!
By the way what does.. "used bb and pels" and "and/or a WTB might be better.".. those initials stand for? |
