Information on 6824 mid size

I am the second owner of this modest watch I've had it since around 1989. It does not keep time or run unless wound and not for very long. It was sent to my jeweler to be serviced they are Rolex certified. After keeping for a few months and at many requests on my part it was returned still not working properly. The problem was never explained in any detail and so remains unknown. The issue seemed to be the availability of parts. At this point I do not want to spent any more on this old watch. How do I go about finding out the value of such a watch in its condition? I would like to get it to someone who would restore it.

It is set up as follows.

Rolex midsize
oyster perpetual
date just
super chronometer
officially certified

top of case model number 6824
bottom of case serial number ? 5121643

oyster two-tone band with extension links added 5 links and 7 links number 78353 17
Clasp stainless steel g 78353-14
Fluted bezel 18k
Screw down crown 18k
Acrylic crystal with date magnifier dome
Champagne Watch Dial with plain markers

The body and band are in good shape and were just polished the face is great the crystal has some wear and probably should be replaced.

Any thoughts and corrections on my information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced for your knowledge,

Lon Edward

Hard to tell without seeing it - but similar DJ's fetch $1800-$2200 in perfect working order.
