Wow I did it guys
I just purchased a Rolex DJ this morning. The style is a black dial with the Roman numbers. with a flutted bezel and the Jubilee braclet. Thanks to all of your posts expecaly Bo's advice I got it for $5100 retailed for $5800 with no interest for a year with a $200 watch winder and a nice travel case all as part of the deal. I would have never of known about discounts if it wasn't for all you guys at TRF. Thanks for all your help I have my own Rolex now. I will have to borrow my sisters camera soon to send pics. Thanks again. I don't know what I would of done without you guys and I am a very lucky man to be part of this Forum.

Congrats, George!
Don't you just LOVE that new updated Jubilee bracelet with the concealed clasp?? I tried on a new DJ just recently, and I must say that this bracelet is really awesome! The whole design makes it much less proned to stretching (due to solid centre links and end links), and the bracelet is not "noisy" as the old-style bracelets tended to be.

While I don't own a DJ, I have seen them in the wild as well as at ADs, and they are some of the most beautiful designs Rolex does.
I saw one very much like yours in the fall of this year while at a cooking demonstration (chef's watch). It was a stunning timepiece, and the chef who owned it said he was very happy with it. Congrats, Chris |

This was one of the biggest decisions in your life. Materialistic wise, that is. All the good things about Rolex are true but most of the bad things are true as well. Just concentrate one this: the watch you just bought is THE benchmark for others to follow. It will not let you down. Just give it TLC and it will last you a lifetime!

I too prefer the black dials in terms of visibility. What can I say except "Show me the photos!" |
