How many turns does it take to...?

How many times do you turn when you manually wind your Rolie, after it has stopped?

Most would say 40 turns of the crown.

I say turn it 45 times with your thumb and 2nd finger just to make sure. Don't worry you can't overwind a Rolex.

to keep your watch within Rolex tolerances, and if under warranty in order to prevent the warranty being void, you must work out the general direction of switzerland, face in that direction at noon and proceed to wind at the rate of one turn per second for no more than 44.59600000 turns. Not following these rules, then send your watch marked urgent attention to my address for damage limitation containment.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

About 40 turns.

I always turn the crown so many times that the second's hand starts moving and then give it some extra turns. Don't worry about "overwinding" it, since there is a safety cluth to prevent this happening. So in theory you could give it the 650 turns that Jocke suggests without harming the movement

Here is a link about winding and setting your watch:
