Looking for a 1953 Rolex

Hi all, I am starting my search for a vintage Rolex from 1953 as a gift for my potential father in law's 60th bday next year.

What do you guys think about the idea?

As for the models, would be great if you can steer me in the right direction. I've never shopped for a vintage rolex and know nothing about watches from that era.

Did some initial research and seems like the 6084 is one of my options. Anything else I should seek out?
