Aftermarket Bezel?
I recently acquired a Rolex from my grandfather, upon looking up more information on the watch I was reading about servicing every 5 years. I know this watch is fairly old considering how long my grandfather has had the watch, and i'm unsure if he ever serviced the watch. I also came across that Rolex does not service a Rolex with aftermarket bezels. How can I tell if the bezel is aftermarket? I would only like to go to a Rolex service center, as I do not know any reputable dealers in the area, and I don't feel like making my grandfather's Rolex a guinea pig to find out. If it is aftermarket, i'd rather not replace the bezel as I would like to keep it in the original state that my grandfather had it in
. My apologies for the horrible lighting and picture quality |

There are a lot of good independent watchmakers more than capable of taking care of your Day-Date if you are concerned.. The easiest way is to walk it into the Beverly Hills Service Center..
Bob Ridley at Watchmakers International in Texas is one of the best out there, give him a call..
