I purchased Jake Evans's Z-serial Rolex Explorer II last week and wanted to write a few sentences on how great the transaction was. He being a first time seller, and me being a first time buyer, I wanted to make sure that all the details were taken care of.

I work in the private equity business and regularly screen companies as potential investments so in buying Jake's watch, I conducted what I felt to be a very thorough due diligence screen of both Jake and the watch which included checking the serial number, requesting additional high resolution pictures, and reviewing Jake's online presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, company website) as well as speaking with his work colleague on the phone to do an additional background check. I spoke with Jake several times on the phone and regularly over email during this process and at every step of the way, I felt like I was working with a fellow professional who had a reputation to uphold.

Both big law and private equity are small communities, and I felt more comfortable knowing that if anything were to go wrong, I had not only Jake's contact information, but the contact information of his colleagues as well.

After I decided to buy the watch, Jake was highly communicative over both email and phone, often responding to emails within minutes. After I wired the money to him, he called me immediately upon receipt to let me know that he was shipping the watch and emailed me with the tracking number.

The watch arrived the next morning exactly as described and well-packaged with a thoughtful note from Jake. I would not hesitate to buy another Rolex from Jake Evans again and I highly recommend him as a seller.
