First scratch

I know it's only a scratch & probably the first of many but this first scratch Hurt more than I thought lol.

I guess I can now wear it as a watch and not protect it as much as I "thought" I was doing.

Long sleeves are going and the tshirts are back :)

Everyone who says it gets better lies! For me every scratch hurts... It's like death from a thousand cuts but what can you do but grin and live with it. C'est la vie!

It's funny I have no scratches on my watches.i never touch them to anything.i flip watches a lot so I don't have them long but even when I do I never get a scratch on them.i got an explorer that I've had for 11 months now and not a scratch to be found.i wish I could see scratches as you guys do I just can't handle scratches at all.

The first scratch definitely hurts, as does the first dent. I guess its the "materiality" of the scratch/dent, but I agree, the pain does subside after the first. I agree, that if it's a wearer, it makes it all the more enjoyable... I still remember my first major dent in my DSSD, and it is a big one, but, I got it with the kids at the fair, so despite the initial 'pain' it does bring a smile to my face (oddly). enjoy.

First scratch might shed a tear...

First gouge on a ceramic bezel and you'll cry a river...

I will get used to it & as I said in my NATO thread, I'd rather scratch the strap than the ceramic/ watch itself.

Ill come to terms with it :)

Just like with a new car, the first scratch is always painful! Thereafter, it lessens!

Well I don't really care about scratches but I'm sorry to read yours hurt!

That's okay though, I am sure that you'll get used to it, I know I always do!

...In fact, the feeling I had when I scratched one of my watches' crystal on a door was much better than the one I had when a watchmaker took the initiative of polishing it a few weeks prior to the accident. I guess I'm just crazy!

You can only be so careful before you stop enjoying wearing your watch. Relax and enjoy it and if you get a scratch here and there that is all part of it.
