Just bougt a gift for my dad
I bought a new Submariner Date few weeks ago, my dad went to AD with me and he really liked my new toy (my first Rolex).
I've seen new Yacht-master 116622 (blue dial) on the Rolex website, my AD had 2 incoming and few days ago I was the one of the first in my country to see it. It was a love on first sight for both of us. My dad is the kind of guy who never wants anything for birthday, xmas... but I could see that he really liked this watch. Since he happens to be the best dad in the world, I went all in and bought him his first Rolex. Needless to say, he is pretty happy with it. I think he stands a little taller and straighter now. It's really nice to buy yourself a Rolex, but it's even better to buy it for someone else. I'm pretty much broke right now, but it's worth it. |

Cool!
I bought my old man a TAG which he wears every day but I'd love to upgrade him one day. He's had a bit if a rough year and it would have been great to get him a Rolex for Christmas but that's just not possible this year... to you and your dad!

Thanks for sharing. There is never enough a son/daughter can do for his/her parents but this is a really nice gesture nonetheless.

Great story.
It's my dads coke GMT that he got 23 years ago that has made me love Rolex for the past 23yrs until I bought my own GMT2C. A nice tradition. If he didn't already have one though I'd do the same and buy him one. |

Good on you, son! I was talking with my family last week and told them that if I got this deal I was working on to come thru, then instead of their suggestion that I pay for a nice holiday, Id get them all a Rolex. They arent into watches and I bore them silly with mine, but their eyes really lit up to my surprise. Anyway I quickly realised how much this would cost me and quickly asked them to pass the holiday broshure!
