Brand snob?

My wife says that I am a brand snob. Perhaps. Perhaps. Or maybe I know that you get what you pay for! And I like nice things!

So long as you wear the brands and the brands don't wear you there ain't a damn thing wrong with that!

I like quality, I don't like a plethora of visible labels.

I like good quality items and will be brand loyal if the products hold up to reasonable expectations, but I dislike sporting large logos. If I was paid or given an item, then I can understand showing their logo, but I'm not paying to be a brands billboard.

I'm the same way, although it can be difficult these days. I call it the Minnie Pearl effect.

My method is simply to buy things that work for me and fit my budget.

In some ways I'm a real miser.

Fifty dollars for a pair of jeans? That's outrageous.

Seventy-five hundred for a Rolex? That's plausible.

I seek quality and craftsmanship and always check out the country of origin when I make purchases. Designer or prestige "brand" labels don't usually impress me.

Brand snob who likes nice things? And yet you like the Kansas City Chiefs? Cognitive dissonance. Almost as bad as yours truly who supports the Bills.

To me the answer to whether you are a "snob" is simple...

Did you buy the brand because you liked the product...

Or did you buy the product because you liked the brand?

I have a few branded items but I prefer to buy the quality and, of course, something I like than simply a name for the sake of it. You should only buy something that makes you happy, if it has a fancy name, good for you, if it doesn't, it shouldn't matter!

Great picture mate, I think Montblanc pens look great.

Note to self: if you want Lisa to buy one of your watches someday, avoid becoming a prestige brand.

Fifty!? Where the heck do you shop Grady!?

Where I shop I can get almost three pairs for that price!

X100 Unfortunately, more than not, quality usually has a label. Too bad, too. Most of the time I shop for anything without the label. My teenagers do enough of the label thing for everyone.

Ya I get the same thing from my family an friends.i only buy rolex watches,Samsung led tvs, audi or mercedes.ralph Lauren jeans and polos.i guess I like to pay extra for quality instead of buying cheaper things and having to replace them all the time.my buddy went out the other day on Black Friday and bought a no name 60" tv for 800.00 an tht is fine if he likes it but I'd rather pay 4000 and know it will last 5 years.im far from rich but enjoy quality products.
