Question For Platinum YM Owners

I've seen a few threads talking about the YM and get the impression this is a love it or leave it model. The platty model is very unique in that it is the only model in the Rolex line that is a combo of PT and SS thereby increasing the desirability for its followers.

I mentioned in an earlier thread a friend is looking to purchase one but has concerns about the bezel scratching easily. To those that have one, is this the case or is it just the standard be careful and use common sense thing? Thanks.

The platinum bezel insert scratches very easily but that's the price you pay for awesomeness.

It is an awesome watch but I flipped mine because of the PCLs scratched easily and so did the bezel, so it didn't get as much wrist time as my others.

I bought my wife one and she beats the crap out of it. It looks fine. Yeah the Pcl's are scratched but the Bezel looks fine. Besides the pcl's are not a precious metal and can be polished out easily so who cares if they get scratched. If its what you want I would buy it in heart beat.

My SS/platinum YM turns 12 in February, and I've worn it almost daily since then. The PCL on the bracelet do scratch somewhat easily, but the case and bezel are in perfect condition.
