Good evening!

I'm looking for a 40mm SS/Plat YM or possibly a TT Blue Sub. Probably will purchase within the next 6 months. First rollie and upgrading from a Tag Kirium.

I am considering AD vs. GM vs. possible private sale. I was considering eBay but having been through this forum I think that's out!

I realize that there are a number of good used watches at various GM dealers;however, I have also read that sometimes even dealers/watchmakers themselves can be duped. Thus, if I were to purchase a non-AD watch, I would ideally like to have it authenticated.

Is there any definitive way of validating the authenticicy of a used Rolex apart from sending it in for a $500 service?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers
