Identification for GMT2

Hi guys, I have a question. How can we identify whether a GMT2 is a pepsi or coke originally? Someone may just swap a coke bezel and say its a pepsi. Its there any code or number to be found on the watch to identify this?

Good question, pal. I think the original papers might give us a clue!!

The style number on my Rolex warranty for my Z series red/black bezel is:

R16710A30B7879

Maybe someone with a black or pepsi bezel could chech their Rolex warranty for there style number?

The outer box should say 16710BLRO if it is a Pepsi (Bleu/Rouge), or 16710LN if it is an all-black bezel. According to the catalogues, there is no code for the black/red bezel.

Yes, and that gives no indication of the bezel colour, unfortunately.

R16710 = model number
A30 = black dial
B = end link type
7879(0) = bracelet ref. #

The only numbers on the warranty are the serial and style numbers. There are no outside numbers on the outer box on my Z series or the remaining Z series pepsi GMT II at my AD's.... I guess this means I can have a pepsi, coke or black?

I don't think you can tell that by the number. However, there is a black dot sticker on the box for my Coke GMT II. I wonder that's how the dealer can tell Coke from Pepsi (and Black).

Thanks everybody for the information.
If anyone wants to buy GMT2 bezels can visit top hour at lucky plaza in Singapore. The shop owner was a former rolex technician, he has all kind of GMT2 bezels (black, coke, pepsi, root beer). In his shop there are two vintage ss daytona and 3 orange hand explorer but I think he is not selling them.

These ref numbers are recorded on the green swimproof tag - that is how you can tell whether or not the bezel colour is orginal.
