This may be a silly question, but have any of you purchased a watch from a fellow member (egads!), eBay or the like and took it into service and encountered any issues to get the watch serviced?

What exactly is the process the AD makes to verify it's authenticity and integrity? Do they check the serial in their database? Of course you will not be the original owner, so might they assume you stole it after finding out that the watch was purchased by another individual?
