Slightly strange Oysterquartz question
Hi,
Here's a slightly odd question for any Oysterquartz owners who may be reading. Have you noticed that some of your watch's ticks are louder than others? To explain a bit further, I've noticed a definite feature of my latest acquisition, a ref. 17014 Datejust: namely, that on even seconds the tick is very much louder than on odd seconds. Or to put it in even simpler terms, every second tick is louder than the ticks in between. I never noticed anything like this with my previous OQ, a ref. 19018 Day-Date. All of its ticks were of the same volume. But as it is, even as I type this I'm hearing every other tick from the watch on my wrist clear as a bell, and it's the ticks that come on the even-numbered seconds of the minute. I'm just curious to know if any other OQ owners have ever noticed this, or if it's a little peculiarity which I should perhaps try to remember to mention when service time comes around. |

Glad it's not just me............
Hi there,
As an Oysterquartz owner (model 17000) for just under a week, I have noticed the same phenomenon. Definitely one tick louder than the next. Great watch, I love the look and the comfort on the wrist. All the best. |

Hi,
Hmm, interesting. Thanks! Maybe this is an odd quirk of the Datejust cal. 5035, which isn't present in the Day-Date cal. 5055. |
