I think I found the last one in existence!
Behold! The finest travel case in the world. I can't find another one anywhere! I have no idea why Oakley stopped making these?
Also it seems a bit on the heavy side. Maybe somebody left something inside? |

I have hunted every where for one of those. I am sure I will find one eventually. Maybe before I turn 90. LOL

If anyone is in the Atlanta GA area, the Oakley store at Lenox Mall, had some the other day. There phone number is 404-233-7575. Bought one for my 42 mm Expl II, and has been great for going through the airports these holidays.

Interesting...I had no idea that it was such a rare commodity. I am glad I bought six of them when they were readily available on Amazon for $19 last year. They are absolutely perfect for traveling, so I certainly understand the appeal. Good luck tracking one down.

What is the inside of them lined with?
Are there any metal buttons or parts on the inside that the watch could scrape against? I seem to remember pics where there were 2 metal buttons on the underside of the Oakley "O"...and seems the watch could bang against them and scratch. Any thoughts from those that have them. |

Very soft on the inside. Nothing but the soft material touches the watch. Man, I'm glad I bought a bunch of these before they sold out.

Looking online you won't find these. Walking into the local Oakley stores I've been able to pick up a few. I may pick up a couple more for future purchases.

Wouldn't that case still cause the watch to bounce around? I always hate it when the bracelet touches the case.
Take a look at the travel case from AP that's in post #19. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=223607 |

From speaking with a couple Oakley representatives, they have no plan to discontinue the watch vaults, they just haven't manufacturered another batch yet, but are planning to... Can't wait...

Actually, I would, but I use all of 'em. In fact, I would really like to procure some more.

The breitling service ones are great too, if you can get your hands on one.

Their website says "temporarily out of stock" and this is probably true, sort of. My guess is since they started putting their watches in them and their supply is somewhat limited until the pipeline catches up. For now they are probably hanging onto the ones they have for use with their watches. Perhaps they will be available again soon when Oakley gets some containers in from wherever they are manufactured. I hope they won't only be available with a purchase of a watch.

I dropped by my local Oakley and they only had large sizes about 3. If anyone needs large I can drop by there next year and scoop them up and send to you. Just PM me and I'll let you know if they have them in next year

The enclosure, which is rigid, has an indentation in the middle of each side that prevents the bracelet from contacting the watch case.

Yeah it's a brilliant design and just to reiterate what others have already said, they are not discontinued, quite the contrary, they can't keep them in stock. But I have bought from the website in the past 3 months and they will most certainly be back in stock soon, so I'm told by their CS dept.

I recommend this Jaeger Lecoultre travel case, just traveled back to NY with a few watches in them.. About 4 inches tall or less, inside is soft alcantara exterior a soft grain leather, watches fits snugly and doesn't move around like my PAM service case, Hublot travel case etc.. Best of it's kind, i have a bunch of them from the boutique, not sure if you can buy them i'm assuming you may be able too.. They fit inside a duffle or anything you carry, and due to the round nature they fit great in the corners or wherever you put it! |

Does it only come in 2 sizes (small and large size)? What size would fit 36mm DD, 40mm SubC etc.? What is the minimum watch size for the big one?

If you look at the Oakley watch line, they have some huge watches. The large is probably better for those monsters.
