Identify this Vacheron Constantin from 1920s? 1930s?
Hello,
This man's manual wind watch belongs to a family member who inherited it from his grandpa who died in 1960. I checked the VC website and it appears to be from their Art Deco period. The minute hand has fallen off (but still with the watch) and it is in need of a rebuild by VC. Do you know where I can find the serial number or movement number on it? There are two tiny screws on the dial face at 3 and 9 that appear to hold the dial face onto the movement. I do not have the appropriate small tool set to remove the screws.....nor do I want to remove them at this point. I believe the serial number is under the dial face. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, DAVID

I have no knowledge of this watch, but those who advise on these matters, usually need larger more detailed pictures.

Looks like a mens watch from the 1930s. Better, larger photos will help

Your best bet is to post on VC's official forum www.thehourlounge.com, very knowledgeable people there. They will tell you to open up the watch most likely though.

Can't say but it does have more than a passing resemblance to the modern Historiques Aronde 1954 model.
